Family & Community Partnerships Training for Family Advocates (S-2012-0528-1063)

Family Advoctes are responsible for enrolling families, determining income eligibility of families, doing monthly home visits with families, providing support and referral services, planning family events, ensuring children recieve optimum healther services, and establishing a strong partnership with families to help them meet their goals toward strengthening their family or family situation.
This training will help Family Advocates gain knowledge of:
- using the Positive Behavior Support Framework to support family engagement;
- awareness of potential dangers to themselves or others when visiting families in the home;
- planning a successful Family Night to help families socialize and meet staff at the center so they feel comfortable being involved with their child's education and in center activities.
