PCAN 5: The Influence of Culture on Caregiving (E-2012-0120-0772)

The field of early care and education has become increasingly diverse making the ability to collaborate effectively with families and children essential to providing quality services. Child care professionals will have the opportunity to explore how one’s culture influences routines, caregiving style, parenting choices, and professional responses to challenging situations.
Registration information
You can reserve your space in the training by registering online once you have created an account. You must then confirm your place in the training by printing off the registration form, completing the information and mailing it in with your payment.
Please note payment will secure your space in the training. Simply registering online will not so don’t delay in completing the registration process.
All sessions count towards Department of Health and Senior Services annual training requirements. Certificates will be handed out before you leave. The Section for Child Care Regulation policy requires that participants attend the entire training in order to receive a certificate. As a result, participants who arrive late or leave early may not be provided a certificate. Please consider this policy as you plan for the event.

Refunds will only be given if notice is received at least 24 hours prior to the training. Should the training be cancelled for any reason Child Care Aware® of Southern Missouri staff will contact participants by phone and payments will be returned.

Level 1 - New to the field with little or no specialized training
Level 2 - Knowledge and skills equal to Child Development Associate
