One of the most important responsibilities we have is keeping children and youth safe. In this session, you will learn how to prevent simple problems like slips, trips, and falls, but also how to avoid more serious injuries from burns, chemical exposure, and injuries from hazards such as lead poisoning, fire arms, and animals. You will gain knowledge of the importance of regulations, and also learn how to properly administer and store medication.
Registration information
You can reserve your space in the training by registering online once you have created an account. You must then print off the registration form, completing the information and mailing it in with your payment. Please note receiving payment is what secures your space in the training. Full payment is due no later than 6/15/2012. All sessions count towards Department of Health and Senior Services annual training requirements. Certificates will be handed out before you leave. The Section for Child Care Regulation policy requires that participants attend the entire training in order to receive a certificate. As a result, participants who arrive late or leave early may not be provided a certificate. Please consider this policy as you plan for the event.
Contact Child Care Aware of Western Missouri no later than 48 hours prior to the start of the session and a coupon will be awarded to be used on another session. No coupons or refunds will be issued to no shows or those arriving more than 15 minutes after the start of the session. There is a minimum number of participants required to hold a session. If that minimum is not met, the session will be rescheduled and participants will be notified.
