Child Care Plus Inclusion Training: Guiding the Behavior of Young Children (E-2012-0321-0382)
Sat June 16, 2012 9:00 AM
Young children are always learning-- about themselves, about the world around them. This includes learning how to follow routines, manage transitions and respond to strong emotions. Along the way, this learning can result in challenging behaviors, and it is our job as early childhood educators to guide the behavior of the children we care for in a way that builds confidence, independece and self-worth. In this session participants will explore their own feelings about children's behavior and learn strategies for preventing and addressing challenging behavior with individual children and the classroom as a whole.
